VetsNet Capsule Report, June 2017

Monthly and year-to-date service delivery with numbers

VetsNet Director Quentin Hatfield with Service Navigators Debbie Buchanan (L) and Sarah Moran (R)

June 2017 by the numbers

VetsNet and its collaborators helped 30 veterans and family members in a variety of ways during June, bringing the total for the first half of the year to 172. Homelessness prevention, substance abuse and mental health services were the most in demand last month, and we referred veterans to 18 different agencies that partner with us to get them help for 42 specific needs.

In all we have worked with more than 30 veterans, governmental, and community organizations since we began last year. In June the largest number of referrals were to Center for Veterans Issues, Heat for Heroes, the VA regional office, and Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.

Our navigators interview the vets and identify the agencies who can meet their needs, eliminating veterans bouncing from one organization to another to try to figure out the system.

Thanks to all of our partners, and to all who donate and support our work. We are helping veterans every day, and for many we are the last resort.

We will help any man or woman in crisis who served in the military.
Anyone who wore the uniform -- active duty, Reserves or National Guard. Overseas or stateside. War or peacetime. Front lines or in the rear. They are all veterans, every one. We are here for them and their families.
